Parents’ Community Links Initiative is a Parental Participation seed-funded project developed by Tusla Family Resource Centre in Navan, Co. Meath. The project’s main aim is to link families with children under 5 who are new to the area into their local community by hosting workshops or outings based on feedback from parents. Workshop topics have included oral hygiene, speech and language and a library visit. The team at the Tusla Family Resource Centre also run the Early Years Programme, which is a free 8 week parenting course for parents of children aged between 1 and 5 years. Check out our photos of parents involved in the project enjoying their Christmas Party. This seed funding project is part of the Parenting Stream of Tusla’s Prevention, Partnership and Family Support Programme which is supported by the Atlantic Philanthropies.
